Hey guys.

I have a fairly old modded Xbox with a chip in it (2.2 I think...anyway I can check besides opening it up?). For some reason, it takes me about 13 times of turning on and off my Xbox for it to load to my custom dashboard. Anyone know why? Is the chip going back inside or am I doing something wrong?

I would consider blaming the hard drive before I would the Chip... 13 times? can you imagine turning your personal computer on and off 13 times? thats not too friendly on the discs. look into replacing the hard drive... Noticed any new noises coming from your box ? Standard bad HD noises, I.e., scratching, clicking, humming, whistling...any of that?
