Recent 360 and Live buyers get two free XBLA games
Posted by XanTium | August 17 23:09 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From joystiq.com:
[QUOTE]
Microsoft offers two free Xbox Live Arcade games if you bought a 360 and Live account over the past year. Fill out a short registration form and enter code "XBX0807" to qualify. However, the site is cagey about which games you'll get. The terms and conditions state that you'll receive an email code by September 30 to download the titles, but the offer "will be for games selected by Microsoft."

Why need a registration form? I mean when I called in for repair service and gave them my email adress for my "Windows Live ID" they already knew the serial number of my console, my telephone number, my address, etc. Couldn't they verify that you qualify just as easily?

Why make you wait until the 30th?

I don't care, I've already paid for all of the arcade games I want to own, but why all the trouble just to get them and why should they pick them? What if I already own the game?

Not even worth the time.

They are probably trying to get more people aware of XBOX live arcade. I believe a recent newspost said that a large number of buyers dont know of XBLA.

Free games so yea signup

Wow, another great news, now after the exclusive titles being ported to PC, veteran members of Xbox Live don't get any rewards for being loyal customers! Instead it's the new one that gets it all... I'm trying to convince myself to think microsoft repau his loyal customers but I get the feeling that it doesn't worth it to be loyal to them...

Am I wrong or ALL the XBLA games cost the same amount of MS points?
If yes why do THEY have to choose the game? dry.gif

Some are 400, some are 800, some are more. I think Lumines is like 1300 or some crazy amount.

Thankyou for the heads up, this offer would have slipped past my radar if it was not for the news item.

i just registered an old console and it said i qualified! smile.gif

i personally have already received 2 free games from microsoft without trying for it... i registered a "different" old console sometime during the spring. then i tried xbox live on it with a new account and a free month of gold; which was followed by emails and a couple of free games.

i believe i received codes for Joust and Robotron; or possibly Uno. sleeping.gif
