And before you ask, yes i am backing up my original OWNED discs. I had to re-install Windows XP Pro recently due to some sort of virus. After formating and the reinstall i have been having problems with the ripping part of my back ups. The burning part works just fine if i get that far.

I have tried Xbox Backup Creator and Schtrom and it seems that both stop me about the half way point (48-50% at second layer) and give an error. The choice is to fill the sector with zero's and then it will continue. This was never the case befpre the format. It would just rip all the way through. I was told that manually having to fill sectors with the zero's should never be needed because the program has set spots where it does this automatically and those are the only sectors that should need it.

Now the only working back up i have made so far since the format was with Schtrom 3.3 and it "seems" to work just fine. Although with just one sector being a problem i may not even notice it until it tried to load a certain stage of the game. I have done all my Windows updates and installed Nero 7 Ultra in order to have good ASPI drivers.

I am using the SATA Samsung SH-D163A drive with Kreon v080

Someone mentioned that ATAPI drivers may be a cuase but i want to get some opinions on what everyone thinks. If you need any more info then just ask.

It may sound dumb but are your original disks in good order? (clean, no scratches etc?).
