This cable will be the world first HDMI 1080i cable for Regular Xbox 360,with this cable you can enjoy the digital 1080i output signal on HD TV :)

The cable can let you have the HDMI digital signal on your HD TV, the original white xbox 360 hasn't got the HDMI port ,so the signal of it is analog signal ,with this cable we convert the analog signal to digital signal ,apart from this function, we also build in the extra RCA and optical socket to connect the loud speaker or amplifier to let you get more enjoyable when playing game
And it will come with the HDMI to DVI adapter, so this cable is not only can be use on HD TV but also on PC as well

I think I will just let my Plasma convert it to digital. As it has been doing a fine job so far....

Exactly. The main advantage of HDMI is in keeping the signal digital the whole way, and not having to do the digital>analog>digital conversion. I can't see this cable actually having any real benefit.

1080i ? uhh.gif Why would you even need this cable if it isn't 1080p All 1080 TV's will support 1080i over component but only samsung will support 1080p over component. This cable if only 1080i will not be any better then the cable that is supplied by Microsoft. I have a Sony kds60 A2000 which only accepts 1080p over hdmi so I had to go on ebay and buy a component to hdmi converter for $30 and now I have 1080p on my nice 60 in biggrin.gif I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that already had component inputs as it will do no better then what you already have.

The only purpose for I can see for this cable is for people who have too many devices connected to their TV, and only have a spare HDMI port left. I don't think there will be many... Otherwise it's just useless, why would I want to convert a signal already converted to analog back to digital, and how will this cable do a better job than my TV itself, like someone else already noted. uhh.gif

you realize that through all of this conversion, and likely shitty quality adapter from ebay, you are ending up with no better of a picture than a native 720p set, given that its the native res of almost all 360 games

and all of this resolution hype 1080 vs 720 is kinda stupid, your eye can notice other things much more easily,
my buddy has a sceptre 1080p set and it looks like crap compared to my 720p samsung lcd tv,
the colors look washed out on his set, plus in games like fight night, you notice slight ghositng.

the ghosting and color saturation is not related to the resolution, its more likely that his set, while 1080p, is just built at a lower quality

very true... in the video game world atleast, many games look hella better in 720p then in 1080p and thats native or not folks just the plain truth. only thing that may really take advantage of the 1080p is obviously ps3, devs can focus less on resizing textures to fit on an itty bitty dvd... now only thing they worry about is load times with only the 256 x2 memory

My Westinghouse (TX-47F430S) does 1080P over component. Even used it with my 360 till I got my vga cable. Just to clarify it's not just Samsung sets. At this stage in the game all 1080p sets should support it via all HD inputs.

Well i got a samsung 32" tv (720p) and i also got a pro (white) console from 2005 (no probs ever) and i tested 1080i and 720p alot and i will stay with 720p via component cause 1080i sucked sometimes with the frames and was jumping lines; i dont know why i should buy this or any1 else.
My vote is for 720p.

I wouldn't buy it, pictures look like concept pictures still.

It wouldn't affect me anyway since I'm getting a Elite and soon a HD-DVD drive.

HDMI is only good for HDCP i've read time and time again there is no difference between Component and HDMI. The only difference is HDMI is digital and you can't really notice that.
