I've installed my Openbox mod and now tring to flash it. All my wires are correct and soldered well. Now when I use BioXXFlasher, It just says No BioXX Board found. My Xbox is on (Boot like normal to memory, music, and settings menu). Connections are correct. Whats the deal here.
How do I get this program to see Openbox mod. Am I supose to have some kind of Dashboard flashed first or sometime. This openbox is the first and only modification I've made to my xbox. Is there something I'm supose to do first before I try and flash the mod. As you can tell, I'm not sure what I'm supose to be doing here I would love any help to the matter. |

There could be a number of things that might not let your computer see the chip:
1. Check your solder points. 2. Make sure your parrell port on your computer is functioning properly. 3. Check your solder points. 4. Try and getting your hands on a different version of BioXFlasher. Hope that helps clear things up. |

some people (including me) have computers that couldn't see the chip when connected through the parallel port. The only way I could flash mine was to connect to a different computer.

you might want to go into your computers bios on startup and make sure the lpt mode is set to normal, this could cause problems if not. do this at your own risk just like anything else though.

I don't know, this is my first try as well. What I did is as so as my computer was able to see the chip, I flashed it with ( xecuter.bin ). I burnt my backup, and presto it worked. Can you believe it, first try with first type of cdrw media I found at wal mart. Didn't even check to see if the cdrw was compatible.
Finally, I can breath again. And my xbox's mother board is still working after all this. I have to admit though, I had some real close calls with really destorying my mother board. Thanks for everybodys help. |

Oh crap, it had to happen. Well the good news is I've burnt and played four games now. Weird thing is, I put the fifth game in to try (Slam Tennis) and CRAP! My xbox says ( You xbox requires service. Please call xbox customer support). And it has the number 13 in the upper left hand corner. Which means
- (kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed). Oh and the green and red flashing light is back. It does this either way I start up, eject or power. I can still get Bioxxflasher to flash my chip, and every thing goes find without any errors. But it still goes to this screen with the #13 and flashing lights every time I boot. anyone else having this problem. anyone know what I can do. |
