I have tried to build the mc360, vision, and the xbox classic skins from svn.

Not sure which rev, downloaded the 3 of them today.

ran the build.bat file in each skin directory, and I got a couple errors....

I didn't pay much attention to the errors at the time. So I uploaded the built skin directories to my xbmc\skins directory.

Then I went to my xbox, and tried to change skins in the appearance section and the all 3 skins appear the same way, white fuzzy letters, and mostly (if not all) black screens.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with DirectX 9.0c (4.09.000.0904)

here's my build.bat output.

any light to be shed on this would be great, thanks in advance smile.gif

Why are you running them from the command prompt? Just double click the bat file.

The only reason I've executed the build.bat files from the command prompt is so I can log all the errors in one window, the exact same errors are appearing if I just run the build.bat files from Windows Explorer via a double-click.

You need directx installed (not sdk) and you also need to run it on the actual computer you are using not over a remote user session to another

And this one is just a guess but running as a limited user might not work (AKA Vista)

So, I installed the MS DirectX SDK, and I'm still receiving the same errors, when I attempt to build skins.

Sorry to reply so slowly, I'm on dial-up and I only go online on the weekends...(My work connection is awesome, but I don't have the time to post here while I'm wokring sad.gif )

Note: I am running WIndows XP Pro, SP2, as Administrator. And no I'm not running through a RDP connection.

Note: I ran the SVN Update before attempting to build again today.

Thanks for all the help guys smile.gif
