Dissecting The Halo 3 Xbox 360, Hi-Res Photos Options

So today I was going get a haircut which happens to be next door to one of my local gamestops. While waiting for my turn of course I decided to go check and make sure no games have been released without me knowing, right? Well, the guy behind the counter told me that my Halo Xbox 360 had arrived. I was really suprised because I wasn't expecting it for a few more days. Of course I whipped out whatever cash I had so I could take my box home.

Here are some Hi-Res photos, not really telling us anything knew, perhaps confirming what we already know. HDMI, new heatpipes, Ben-Q drive for me. The power supply AC cord is like a standard PC and the plug that goes into the xbox itself doesn't have the release buttons on the side to unplug. Comes with black rechargeable battery back for the controller as well as the standard which was great, although I think they should of molder one in the green color. Also, the headset is green with Xbox 360, not halo 3, which is cool and all, but of course I will be using my wireless h3 headset. I did just buy a chatpad which will not work with your wired green headset from this system.

Overall I am pleased with the look of the system, the controller could of been spruced up better than just the green which is pretty a bad color by itself. Since I had it opened, I threw in a white ring of light I made a while back, but have other plans for the lighting of this box. Lastly is just a showing of how much Master Chief rules Enjoy!

I love the copper bezel, and the white leds. I was thinking about picking up a hdmi 360, so I guess I might have to look for one of these. How much was it?

$399.99 which I think is great. No complaints on pricing. I do however want to go buy a 120 gig HD and just fit it into the housing.

Are these Limited Edition? What I mean is will only a few thousand be shipped or is it a permanent SKU?

They should have done it black or something, green is about the worst colour it could be.

Nice, but don't get me wrong the whole scheme doesn't really suite me, the Green Xbox 1 looked well good.

Are you able to test if it has the Falcon mobo?

I don´t understand why you are covering just the serial number. The big numbers below the bar code is the serial number as well, you should have covered both.

I know this isn't a big deal, but I thought they were replacing the warranty stickers, with one's similar to what are on laptops, desktops and the HD-DVD drive add on.

I love you guys, seriously.

Not sure if it's 65nm or not, but I'm assuming 90nm unless I hear differently from others with their machines. I don't mind voiding my warranty, as I do that for fun, but unless I get three rings, i'm not pulling the heatsinks.

As far the whole color and scheme thing, well.. all I can do is smile.. on the onset, the green does seem ghastly, espcially the controller, but honestly, it's Halo 3.. it's army, it's green.. I get it. I have a Halo Xbox as well, and although the translucent green is pretty and all, it simply has Halo Special Edition silkscreened on the front... wow.. So when I look at the box on a whole, especially near all my other halo gear, it looks fine.. and i'm sure it'll look more than fine with my halo zune and legendary edition nearby.

Also people, don't forget that these are photos taken with different lighintg and flash, may vary a little in person, but it is what it is.. GREEN.

Conclusion: An Xbox 360 is an Xbox 360. I have no problem paying $399.99 for this as opposed to a white premium without doubt. And no, if you give a care less about Halo, I surely don't see anyone getting this box..

They should/should of - molded the battery for the controller in green, added artwork to the controller. Provided a new school headset that works with the chatpad and make a green chatpad (is there a black?). If theres a black chatpad for the elite, I guess i'll be buying it..

One last thing.. they could of kept the plug and play and the rechargeable battery and given me an HDMI cable.. hahah... so even with everything including in the box, you may still need to part with a little more cash...

As far as the warranty seal, I thought it would be of the new type also which is one of the reasons I took a pic of it, the other reason is that the pic is of it after I put it back together, the sticker almost could pass for not have being removed.. which covers the last thing, in regards to serial #, I don't really care that much, just blurred the main one when I was resizing. This box will only be visual modded (adding lights).

I personally think it is pretty freakin sweet. Its army green, all you need now is the military edition Halo zune and your ballin. I would by one but i have 3 360's already and i think my money will be better spent on a PS3 for Killzone! But of course i will be playin H3 on day one! Took the day off work and everything.

Where did you pick yours up at? I have mine pre paid for at my local GameStop and they said I cant get it till Sunday.

I want so bad to tear one apart. I hope it has the new mobo but don't look promising.

I hope I get BenQ as well. I have a few Samsung drives laying around that I can use until a hacked firmware comes out for the BenQ.
