Had a little time on my hands so I made this little mod.
Always wanted to put an xbox inside a NES case, so i made it.
Obviously could not fit the whole thing, so since i was going for a retro feel, i deducted the dvd drive. But this thing has an 80GB HD and is loaded with emulator goodNES. I also managed to keep the original power switch functional.

Dont mind the NES case, it is obviously old and ugly, did not want to use one in good condition, i collect those.

1986 NES Case
1.6 Xbox Board
X2Lite Modchip
80GB HD
XB PSU
XB Fan
4 Controller Ports

:-D

Do a re-spray and give the retro set a new look. That would be awesome.

Not very clean. You should have tried to use the original NES controller points, and a smaller fan in the back so it didn't stick out as far.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have to admit, i should of checked the forums before posting such a mod, I would of clued in to those details. (specially if compared to that xbox mini thing, that one is very pro obviously.)

But i am an amateur modder, and its all for fun.

I am still taking in all your advices, and most likely will perfect the project as I go.

Thanks again, I appreciate all input, good or bad.

gotta love the nes, i think there was a nes mod where he got the hole mobo inside, without haking the rear of the case. it would be nice if you could get a dvd drive in the slot.

I did use the original ports, its controller 3 and 4. What i should of done, is line them up with the original 2, would of been a little cleaner. Live and learn, I am now tempted to make another! lol
