It is a last gen feature - DualShock 3 same tech as DualShock 2

From joystiq.com:
[QUOTE]
GameDaily BIZ confirmed with Sony today that the technology in the recently announced DualShock 3 is identical to that in the DualShock 2. So anybody expecting Immersion's next-gen rumble technology can just let those dreams pass into the ether.

As for battery life, the DualShock 3 will last approximately 15 hours with the rumble feature on, and 30 hours (the same as the Sixaxis) with it off.

15 hours battery life with rumble is not very good at all.

Perhaps they were ill-informed, but two editors on last week's 1UP Show claimed that it was a better rumble and that they could tell while using it at TGS.

15 Hours estimated, considering not everyone plays for 15 hours and recharges their controllers before then...

Sixaxis and Rumble....new possibilities

I hope they set a reasonable price for it.

WAY more than 15 hours. dry.gif

The SIXAXIS has about the same battery life as the 360 controllers, but that is without rumble. So of course the Dualshock 3, with rumble, would have less.
