Sounds good slight pricedrop and an added feature, if they really wanted to shake things up they could release a 230 dollar non hdmi version and come in at a lower pricepoint than the wii, that would sell like hotcakes!

maybe the reason they aren't doing that is because most the non-hmdi mobos are junk and production is done.

i think its a nice package and they will get a lot of sales for the holidays.

It makes the choice between a ps3 and a 360 one that most wouldn't have to think twice about.

this is a good RROD replacement or entry-level box for this next-generation gaming, and i am not complaining, but i would still like to see the price come down even further...

and wasn't there some post about this version of the box on here ages ago and was blasted as being very fake...seems that it may be coming true after all

Rumor has it that the PS2 is supposed to be selling for $100 this Christmas. I don't know if they'll ever be able to get the core that low, but my bet is they are going to try and get there in 4 or 5 years with the xbox 360 core.

Nice little package there, the Core system suddenly looks like a worthy choice of the 3 SKU's.

Well, for some i mean. And by some i mean.... not me, lolz. (Already got a Premium and Elite)

But as someone else stated, this would be a great package as a replacement box for the RROD victims. Nice price drop indeed!

Thank god for that then - when this hits the UK i'll treat myself to it! Been xboxless for a month now after my Premium survived the 3rol thanks to the x-clamp replacement, but lost its life to.... green graphics o death
