A few weeks ago we told you the Xenon360 replacement cases for the Xbox360 were finally ready. In meantime we received samples of the case from xbox-central.com and below you can already find a few high-res pictures of the Black Xenon360. A Crystal Clear version is also available, we'll show you pictures of that one soon. The case features a textured deep matt black plastic that looks really nice. Unlike the original case the Xenon360 does not have those irritating clips on the back of the case, so re-opening this case should go a lot faster. The ventilation holes on the back and sides are also bigger that the original case which probably results in better air in/outtake and thus better cooling. The case comes without the plastic vents though, so you'll have to use the ones from your original case. A full review of this case will follow later. Front and back of the Black Xenon360. This case is currently only available for non-HDMI models. As you can see there's spot in the middle. A jewel will fit there, but those weren't ready yet when they shipped us the sample. They told us it'll probably look a bit like the Xbox1 s-controller jewel but then in black/silver and with 'xenon360' written on it. Designing things takes a long time, so don't expect that something ~2 months old would be included in a design that probably took a year.

My original post was to make sure it was noted that there was no HDMI version.. but overlooked the caption on the picture.

If you got a PRE Zephyr, Falcon.. this is a kickass case compared to the other in my opinion.

I only tested the original MS faceplate so far, and it fits without any issues. So I guess other 3rd party faceplates will work too, but I'll let you know in the review.

If you're going to dremel, you should probably get a stock case and just paint it afterwards. Will look about the same, and then you can touch up where you cut... or just paint your stock case that already fits...

Having no top and bottom plastic vent covers is a HUGE no no. They need to remedy that immediately. Nobody is going to order this case for a white 360, and then stick white covers on it.

the original white-case vents are grey actually (like shown on pictures above). But I agree custom vents would make case even better.

I don't get it, the article makes it sound like they're not out yet but the web page has them listed as in stock??
Nice looking cases, love that they've changed the ventilation holes to be bigger too!

What about a RROD Case ?!
I did like to see a case where you can add a FAN upper the GPU and the CPU. The case must been Higher then the Original ..ok ,....but that case makes much RODD people very very Happy.And i think it will help to keep your Xbox lifetime much much longer as with an original case.

Ok this would by very Hard to realize.But i think much much people will buy it !!!

Forget the case i'd love to see someone release a metal box replacement - thats what us moders would prefer (or maybe just me).

This is how my xbox looks currently



There is no need for a case.

It would love to have metal box replacement that has:
+ A large hole at the bottom to allow access to tighten the xclamp (The RROD Case).
+ A clear lid that sits on top so i can put things on it (its a bit exposed at the moment) and things can drop into it. The lit would be easily lifted off (maybe pop off a few clips).
+ Make it so the hdd sits nicely on the side
+ And So that you can put a face plate on the front to make it look a bit tidier

I think modders would prefer somthing like this than a full case replacement. That way i can easily open the box and get to the DVDROM etc easily when i need to.

The Xenon360 replacement case: For a little more than the cost of this replacement case you can buy the elite which will look like it
I think people would prefer something that makes it more accessable than wanting to make it look simlilar to the elite.

Ok can someone clear up why the ones on the http://www.xbox-central.com/market.htm homepage have a nasty circular cutout in the middle of the case and the ones xbox-scene have dont have this?? I dont want to buy because of that... is there a version without the circle window?
