HowTo Wear Your Halo Helmet
Posted by XanTium | October 20 00:26 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From kotaku.com:
[QUOTE]
After reading of the MTV intern's plight to create a Master Chief costume earlier this week I remembered that some reader had sent me a picture showing a pal of his wearing the helmet from the Legendary version of the game on his head.
I had asked him to email me the details on how it was achieved and then never heard back. So I decided to do it myself... big mistake.

Before I walk you through this let me point out two things: I had to use a glue gun to put my helmet back together. That's because the center black piece that takes up all of the headroom is in fact also the frame that holds the whole thing together. The second reason? I'll leave that no-brainer till the end.

Hot Glue? I think Super Glue would have worked better since it is more transparent and stronger when putting plastic together.

Using hot glue was a better choice. Putting on the helmet was a poor one.

Someone really needs to make a Mark VI and Mark V helmet to go with the plasma rifle and pistol.

You know there's a lot of idiots that would buy it. I can't believe how many people i heard that were dissapointed you couldn't wear it. What were they expecting?

Interestingly enough it would also make for a really good snowboarding helmet if you padded it and put in a good visor. Although you'd look like a tool.

The no brainer is that you can't see out of it.

Master Chief is so 1337 that he can use Wallhax to look straight through, no worries there.

Yeah I think I'd rather just go without instead of having one held together with hot glue that you can't see out of anyway. Pretty pointless.

i'm confused - how does taking it apart and gluing it back together make it so large it could fit a human head?
