Posted by XanTium | October 24 00:28 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From gamasutra.com:
[QUOTE]
In its Q3 2007 call to analysts, video rental service Netflix said that it would consider delivering movies to its subscribers via internet-connected HD-DVD and Blu-ray devices, which include the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Said Netflix president, CEO and Board chairman Reed Hastings as recorded by financial site Seeking Alpha, "In terms of enabling the viewing of online content on the television screen, we are exploring a variety of options, including Internet connected, high definition DVD players, internet connected game consoles, and dedicated internet set tops, with a variety of partners, trying to understand the best ways to provide inexpensive viewing of online content on the television."

Im in the U.S. but i do agree, M$ 360 should be univerial. the market place is the market place no matter where ya live. If ya are on xbox live in any country, we all should have the same thing.

now really why would m$ even consider this?? they buy developers to make games how about they buy netflix now that might be fun.....but this is like itunes and netflix getting in bed together i just dont think it would be realistic on a profit/investment standpoint (i.e. not apart of a monopoly)

edit: a set top box might be an idea but again the whole joining with a hardware manufacture, maybe netflix is just trying to be optimistic, what is a "call to analysts"?
