Xbox-Scene is not responsible for any transactions, or any actions of it's members in this forum whatsoever!

Anyone choosing to conduct any sort of transaction with another member on XS does so at their own risk and expense.

As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.

If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.

Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)

People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.

Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.

Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade. What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.

UPDATE: Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.

UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.

Do Not Ask, or Offer to buy, Sell or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. People wanting a subscription can get their own.
UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

1.> In top right corner, click members
2.> Click "toggle more options..."
3.> Type in the member's name in the box under where it says "Signature Contains" and press enter
4.> If that member's name is in anybody's signature, the users with that name in their signature will pop up and you can contact that member to find out how the sale went. Also you can click the member's names who come up in search to see their profile and see what is in their sig about that member before you contact them.

Please note, not all members might be in someone sig, so don't get upset because you can't find them.

Addition by Grim187:
one thing i like to do before sending paypal payment to anyone is check to see if there paypal account is verified, you can do this by adding there email address at the end of this link (replacing the "@" sign with "%40")
https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=

i.e. if you wanted to check if "Someone@Something.net" was Paypal Verified the link would be
https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=Some...40Something.net

note: you have to have a paypal account and be logged in to view the page.

Members on this site are unable to change their name. Admins can change it but it is not offered to do so. Only thing they can do is make multiple accounts, but end up being caught.

You guys should use heatware. Its the BST trade forum standard.

If within the USA:
Also Filing with the FBI fraud unit can get scammers in lock up if they have multiple offenses over time. biggrin.gif You can issue a warrant for someone's arrest for fraud within their local police office too but you must have proof. If its fabricated you can get thrown in lock up and charged too, so it must be legitimate. But sending all your info to the police via fax can help them build a case and all police offices respond to that faster for some stupid reason. Small claims court works too.

the text list of more than 100 names is cool, but now i am convinced that this has to be the most impressive way to give my xbox-scene references.

User AoCMaker is a scammer. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showuser=461670

I bought an Xbox off of him on 2/9/2012 and he was suppose to provide a tracking number. During negotiation of a deal for his Xbox he was very quick to respond to all of my PM's since I have sent him my money I have sent 4 or 5 PM's asking for the tracking # and status of my Xbox and he has failed to respond to any of my messages despite being shown as Online viewing this forum.

Beware.

I finally got my money back after my Paypal dispute. Nice to see the admin who I forwarded all of this to hasn't taken any action to ban the user.

Hope people will be wise enough to check this thread first.

Sorry to reply here, but if anyone who has or does read this wonders why the admins didn't take action into banning this user well it's because fitz0527 doesn't seem to read very well LOL...

It shows this as soon as you enter the bst section...

Sorry to post this mods and you may delete it. I also see user hasn't logged on to site since March 7th, the date of his posting which makes me assume he holds x-s accountable. tongue.gif
