What Does the Xbox Divulge About its Owner
Posted by XanTium | November 6 23:37 EST | News Category: Xbox_Xbox360

From msn.match.com:
[QUOTE]
What can his choice of gaming system tell you about him? We convened a panel of experts to give you the scoop:
* Carl Arinoldo, Long Island, NY-based psychologist
* Ed Magnin, chairman, Game & Simulation Programming, DeVry University's Dallas Metro campus
* Shane Satterfield, editor-in-chief, Santa Monica-based GameTrailers.com, an online gaming site

Q. And what does the Xbox divulge about its owner?
* Arinoldo: There is a wide variety of games available through the Xbox 360... so one may be better able to find games in common with a significant other who may not be an avid gamer. Preferring the Xbox 360 may say that the owner is willing to play cooperatively.
* Magnin: Xbox 360 says he's probably into serious gaming. Take a look at his game stats. Ask him to show you how many hours he spent playing his favorite games. Many guys log 100 to 200 hours on their favorite games.
* Satterfield: These guys tend to like extremely violent, visceral games, as well as the social aspect of connecting with friends online. They may be living out an active and social life through games, because they are a bit on the shy side. Xbox 360 fans tend to make good money and like to spend it. These guys are passionate about gaming and that transfers into the bedroom as well.

Is there something wrong with living your social life through Xbox Live? I think all of us kind of do to a certain degree.

This is just stupid.

Every man or woman who choose to buy a certain thing are NOT the same "type" and you can't tell how a person is, how they behave, how much money they have, which restaurants or clubs they go to, if they're gay or likes to fuck animals or if you have an alien at your house as a pet JUST by lookin at which console they chose to buy.

Dumbest thing I've ever read.

I've bought all three, does that mean that I'm a schizo now or what?

Jeez... unsure.gif

Yeah, as SpaceBuddha said, that is kinda a load of crap, its a huge generalisation. Yeah i love my 360, i earn a bit of money and some of it goes to my 360 and my 20 or so games, and i do like to make new online friends, but does that make me a stereotype?

It's not apparent from the summery but the article was written for girls to want to psycho analyze their dates based on which video game console they own.

it's a pretty lame article as they said pretty much the same thing about all three consoles.

apparently no matter which console you buy it's a sign of wealth.

It is interesting to note who made this comment. It was made by a Gaming Geek. He was just trying to get some "Lay" points for the future.

That said, I have a Xbox, and am very good in the bedroom (in my opinion).

I'm not a moron, but after buying it and realising that it sucks even harder than PS2 I sure feel like one... tongue.gif
