I just got a new xbox arcade and i exhanged it 3 times due to getting a hitachi 79 until i got a benq that i
could flash..it works perfectly but the problem is everytime i go to start the xbox for the first time of the day it turns on but the video is not seen on my screen.. I have to disconnect the video cable from my xbox and reconnect for it to work..once i do this every time i turn on and off the xbox it works fine..it just when i first turn it on for the day..any ideas? please let me know...maybe my cables going out? or is it maybe the psu unit?

does your video cable have a loose connection? have you tried borrowing a video cable from a friend to see if that fixes the problem? it sounds like a cabling issue to me, but some tests should verify it for you.
