it really isnt that hard!
ok, i have no programming knowledge whatsoever, but im sure it wouldnt be hard to evenly split up 1000 points over the amount of levels in a game.
they dont have to be amazing achievements, like "you took down an alien flying hamster while eating a hotdog"
just for finishing levels.

As a programmer, it would be a MASSIVE pain in the arse to add achievements to those old games. I'm sure the Xbox1 games used a completely different set of Live API's, and the new libraries would have to be ported back to Xbox 1. Then on top of that someone would have to figure out what gives an achievement, code that into the game, and recompile it. Talk about wasting $ on something that isn't even worth it... Furthermore MS$ doesn't even own or house all of the code and they would have to rely on the game studios to do this work, which they wouldn't do for free, so MS$ would have to convince them to pull developers off of their new titles to work on achievements for an emulated Xbox 1 game. And remember, the costs aren't just for developing here, but also qa testing. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING lol.

chinchillanet doesn't seem to realize that the difficulty has NOTHING to do with deciding what the achievements will be. the actual programing and Q/A work behind it is where the problem is.
it would seem that MS is just dumping the disc content onto the marketplace so it's not like they're going to put in the effort to completely re-code, re-compile, and re-test the entire game just to add achievements.
