alright i made my case a slim so there's no more room for a CD ROM is there a way to still softmod?

There isn't really a way to make one. It's whatever you want to make it. Check out the the Case modding section there are a couple of slim WIP's.

Hi,

without dvd drive, the original xbox bios will boot into a error screen.

So,

you can install a modchip with another bios.
you can perform a Tsop flash with a new bios (as long as your xbox is not a 1.6 or 1.6b)
you can just connect the dvd circuit board to the power and ide cable if you have room for that.

but a softmod will not work.

i got my xbox slim and i got no disk drive so, i too kthe board out of the disk drive and it starts up but it wants a disk, how do i flash the bios?
