i have all my media on a seperate computer which i share over the network and play through the xbox via smb.
it is a real pain to navigate to the computer and directory every time i want to play a video, so is there any way to have a specific folder on one computer as default when i go to the smb shares on the xbox?

also does xbmc come with a ftp client, so that you can play meda over ftp from a computer? if so, how do i use it?

Use the "add source" option to create a source that points exactly where you want to go. (Hint: White button while viewing source list).
