hey guys im not new here i just dont post much but since the launch of COD4 ive had nothing but problems with it.

insert the disc start playing maybe for a good hour then the game crashes and says the disc cant be read. fine. restart the xbox, play for another few mins, does it again. now ill spare you the story but it consistently does this at no given point, randomly.

i went back to circuit city, got a new copy (last one on the shelf) they exchanged with no problem. its been almost a week now but yesterday it did it again with the new disc. im pretty confident its not my 360 since this is the only game it is happening to.

can someone help me out, join in with the same issues, or give me some advice?

Try clearing your hard drive cache by doing the following...

To perform the function, access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"

If you initiate maintenance, the hard drive's cache will be cleared, including all software updates.

I am seen problems like this due to bad data loading.
