I agree sort of. While the wii is fun to play for some games, it doesn't work for others as well.(could be developers too) My friend bought a wii and all the controllers are complete junk. They move around the screen when you don't want them to.(2 brand new) Madden 08 sucks balls in my opinion.(sucks on other systems too but controls are better)

Most people i know that have a wii, is merely a toy to them. They do not own more than 2 games, most owning the wii sports and thats all. I imagine the mario games would be good though.

Cool concept. Crappy games. I have a bitter sweet relationship with the Wii right now.

I love what it represents, but I hate the lack of genuine gaming I get from it. Mine collects dust but I JUST HAD TO HAVE ONE.

Im a sucker for Nintendo, and that will probably never change.

On the flip side, my wife is competing with my 360 for "quality time" with me. Shes fighting a loosing battle atm.

the reason the 360 has a high attachment rate because the games are worth buying... if u get the wii u get wii sports with it and there ya go, thats pretty much it... if u get the ps3, then u are out of luck for good games

and although the 360 is a console, it can do other things too

M$ needs to press its great games and their Xbox Live service as that is why the 360 is the better CONSOLE (even though u have to pay for live)

xbox 360 has live and some great games but live is the glue for Microsoft.
sony aka the ps3 tried the same old thing they to try to have great specs to make a sale
which in most cases just the name sony is good is good enough for most.but like last time they use weird
aka technology (CELL) that no one else want to use in the business or gaming world most do not care about aka (blueray cell ect). sony mess up first buy using not proven technology most cant even port game from the pc or the xbox 360 because of the not enough ram for all that other new technology to back it up all the resources
so even when you have all the disc space in the world if the system dose not work right it dose not work
right i know you say rrod on the xbox 360 but most would just bu another xbox no problem.
but if the ps3 broke all the time at least you would have the game to call rma land lol and you would
have a game to play.it is sad how one bad system will help the demise of all the last last gen systems that followed it.but thats not good enough. i wish them luck there going to need it and thats sad lol .
and as far as nintendo goes it is just that a fad that most likely will never die if you get my drift

Can you translate all that. If I understood most of it you are basically saying mario games are shit and the PS3 has less memory than the 360 and nobody wants Blu-Ray. Also the system does not work even though it has large capacity disc space. Oh and it doesn't matter if the 360 packs in because you can go out and buy another one.
1. Mario is a hugely popular game for the Nintendo line and whilst i don't personally like it, I can see what a big impact it has. Millions of players can't be wrong.
2. The PS3 has exactly the same amount of Ram as the 360. It is accessed differently.
3. You do realise that BR movie sales in for Black Friday week outsold HD-DVD 2 to 1.
4. Have you seen the figures for PS3 faults? The machine is reliable above all else.
5. You really think people are that laid back that if their 360 breaks they will carry on buying new ones? You think it doesn't matter if it breaks because MS make it ? You are blinkered if you believe all that.
If that is not what you were saying then I apologise and ask you to make it clearer.

The original statement in the news post, should really have stated the underlying message which reads to me that the PS3 has not had the games support and development pushed hard enough. This is absolutely true. With a year to make up on the 360 the emphasis was not on the correct aspect of the console.
MS must be laughing somewhat, because at a time when their 360 was in crisis due to the admission of a serious hardware design defect and mass returns, Sony failed to capitalise on the situation. MS stuck their hands in the air gave the warranty and rode out what could have been disaster, by constantly pushing out great games. No question the 360 is the best out and out games machine at the moment.

Something is Lost In Translation
I think what's being said here is that the messages that are being promotoed by Nintendo and MS are solid and Sony's is still struggling to find an identity for the consolel

Nintendo: Have fun with friends and family using our unique interface
Microsoft: Enjoy HD Graphics and a vast online gaming community
Sony: ...?... We have a cell processor and blue ray ...?... not really a message and it's not decidedly game related or media related.

The Wii does have good games
Beyond Wii sports there are lots of good titles on the Wii
-Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
-Geometry Wars Galaxies
-Guitar Hero III
-Metroid Prime 3
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Super Paper Mario

^those are all AAA titles... and there are lots of good B titles as well like Big Brain Academy, EA Playground, Elebits, etc. and lots of solid games coming down the pipe like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, No More Heroes, and other stuff.

The problem with the Wii is that there is an overwhelming pile of crap titles that aren't worth the plastic disc they're pressed to that most of the good titles get lots in the wash.

The PS3 does have good games now too
but most of them aren't exclusives...

Orange Box, COD4, Assassin's Creed, RockBank, GHIII etc. Are all on Playstation 3 as well

Some good exclusive titles like Uncharted, Warhawk, Rachet and Clank, Resistance, and Time Crisis are also available.

Most big cross-platform titles are coming out on PS3 as well as 360 so while there might not be a compelling reason for a 360 owner to buy a PS3 as well, for someone who doesn't own either there is quite a bit in the cross platform realm that works out as a wash between the two consoles.

It's true that Sony doesn't have their Gears of War or Halo 3 yet... but the argument that there are "no good games" is quite ridiculous at this point and shows the ignorance/fanboyism more than anything else.
