Hey guys, LONG time lurker here... but this is the first time I've never been able to figure something out by reading the posts on the forums. I just got my XBOX 360 back on Saturday, I sent it to a friend who flashed my launch day 360 with a Hitachi drive with the iXtreme 1.3 firmware.

Here is what I have tried so far:

-Tried 3 different backup images, all verified working by friends and check summing perfectly in XDVDMulleter.
-Burning disc using NEC ND-3540A DVD-RW at 2x and 4x
-Decided maybe the NEX burner is the problem, went out and bought a Pioneer DVR-112DBK.
-Burnt using the Pioneer DVR-112DBK at 2x and 4x with the firmware it came with (1.22).
-Burnt using the Pioneer DVR-112DBK at 2x and 4x with the most recent firmware (1.24).
-Using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs from Singapore.
-Tried burning in ImgBurn and the latest CloneCD, all discs burnt and verified.

Here's the weird thing, the discs I burn, I can throw in my computer's DVD-RW drive and checksum them with XDVDMulleter and they match PERFECTLY with the image file. Also, as I said above, they verify perfectly after the burn. From reading around on the various forums it seems like with my set up, the only thing I can possibly do wrong is to not use a .dvd file to set the right layer split.

According to everything I've read I'm doing everything right... yet every backup I throw in my 360 that I've burnt is reported as "Unplayable Disc"! When I insert a disc I can hear about 10-20 seconds of what sounds

Oops, post got cut off.

Anyway, it sounds like it's spinning up and spinning down. It will do that a couple times then say "Unplayable Disc".

I just restored and reflashed it to iXtreme 1.4 and it's still doing the same thing. :\

You make it sound like it's not a big deal :|. Are you setting it to 1913760 in ImgBurn manually at least?

1.3?, are you trying to play newer games like say red faction, ufc undisputed etc? if so youre firmware needs to be at least 1.51 or preferably 1.6, wave 3 games wont play on older then 1.51,unless you patched em to play on older firmware pop.gif

he said he went to 1.4 though and still same thing and if he is using imgburn, it sets the layerbreak automaticly if he burned using the .dvd file, also he has a pioneer burner and those are best for 360 burning... pop.gif
