Hi, I'm new to the forum and to modded Xbox360.
I would like to know if there are new/hacked dashboards available for the xbox360, and how do one go about to install it on the xbox. So that I will be able to create a FTP connection to my Xbox360.
My Xbox is already chipped.

The only 'chips' that exist for the 360 are for modified dvd-rom firmware, unless you are talking about an infectus. There are no custom dashboards for the 360, only linux. That requires you to have an old exploitable kernel (4532/4548). If not, you will have to downgrade your console to use it.

Ok, where to find the archive Bin 4532 for downgrade, being that my bios are 5787?

cant you just hook your hard drive up to a pc with a usb cord. I think there is a kit that i saw about a year ago at best buy.

You dont just flash 4532 to your NAND and call it good. You have to dump your 5787 kernel/dash, patch it with the 1888 filesystem. Then you flash that back to your NAND. You then use the timing attack to guess the hash for your patched kernel/dash with the 1888 fs. Once you guess the hash, you can boot 1888. From there, you upgrade to 4532, at which point you can boot the KK disc with the modified shaders, and hence, boot linux.

The hard drive has nothing to do with the dashboard on the 360. Remember, core consoles are sold without hdd's, so they have to be fully funtional without them.

Is it possible to brick your xbox by trying to flash back your NAND. If so is there a way to resurrect it?
