Hey guys I'm trying to load EvoX onto my friend's Xbox and I'm having a little difficulty. I've tried it both on my drive (Philips) and his (Thomson) and neither work. What's odd is that a few months ago when I loaded it on mine I used the Memorex 700MB CD-RW and after a few tries it worked fine. But I tried both the Memorex 700MB and a 3 year old Sony 650 CD-RW and neither seem to work. What do you guys use? Also is it normal for it to take a few tries for an Xbox to be able to read a CD-RW? Thanks for the help.

DIfferent X-Boxs like different CD-RWs. My Thomson drive can read 650MB Verbatim CD-RWs and 700MB TDK CD-RWs.

It all depends on the drive. Normally the Philips doesn't like CD-RW discs. The Thomson does seem to like CD-RW format discs. In either case to give yourself the highest possible chance of success I would highly recommend using Fujifilm or Verbatim CD-RW.

Yeah the Samsungs are great but have some consideration for those of us who are stuck without them. sad.gif Actually I have a Samsung but it's up for sale right now since I really don't need it, but I do need the money. All of my Games are on Ritek DVD-R which my Philips drive reads perfectly.
