nope.
your box needs to be modded to run unsigned code, which is what emulators are.

You don't necessarily need a modchip, though. Do some searches for keywords like "softmod" or "game exploits". I think the first xbox I modded with a friend was done using nothing but a memory stick and a copy of Mech Assault.
