A few days ago my 360 started to act up. I now get a "unreadable disc" error everytime I put in a disc. It can be a game, dvd, or cd. It still doesn't work. I've called Microsoft and they said it's not covered under warranty anymore since I bought the 360 on launch day. It's only under a 90 day warranty. They want $100 to do the repair and it can take 10-12 weeks. Does anyone here have any suggestions on what I can do? I really don't want to put $100 into an old machine, I'd rather just sell it for as much as I can and get an Elite. Any help is appreciated.

It was pretty simple really. The old Cache clear trick worked for me. Just hold down the "A" button while you insert the game and it loads. Worked like a charm!
