Team InFeCtuS announced their 'Time Attack PCB' is now available (RRP 9,90Eur). Together with the InFeCtuS1/2 chip this PCB will allow you to perform the 'Timing Attack' on your Xbox360 and downgrade your kernel. This allows you to go back to an exploitable hypervisor and run Linux on your Xbox360, extract CPUkey and change keyvault (KV) stuff like DVDkey and game region. Sweet, Can we use this to set a new dvd key on consoles that we have no idea the key of? For example, if the key was lost in a mod, could we set a new key on the mobo and then set a new key on the dvdrom and get that 360 functional again?

sadness... i just modded a friends xbox that had a kernel previous to the one with the exploit.... he didnt want me to attempt the linux mod :-( ... nearly cried watching him update it off a new game

sweet now the gates are open for stupid hackers too completely ruin xbox 360 and xbox live. Xbox Live is already F'd up from ddos attacks. Glad I just got a Ps3. Can't wait for all the viruses and Malware BS too completely ruin Xbox Live.

Except even in the Xbox1 days, there was no viruses or malware... just stupid cheaters. Live isn't any less secure.

Nope, you're still stuffed, at the moment the King kong's shaders are used to load Linux and this can only be loaded from disc -which you can't do. Until someone mods the shaders of an executable with a media flag which can boot from HDD, you can't do anything.

Anyone know where I can pick this up in the UK?

Doors are finally opened to homebrew programmers with this addon. A first generation of homebrews will be written for xbox 360. I can imgaine the possibilities of running many apps that were once created for xbox1 that will be ported to xbox360. Just think about XBMC with HD resolution video file natively handled! Emulators not slowed anymore by the processor's speed!

I really hope to see an "emergence day" of xbox 360 homebrew developpement!

Sadly, I fear that our beloved 360's won't see any Homebrew until right before the console is on its way out the door.

I do however have great respect for those that are trying to make it happen.

why do you think it's funny? Did you not hear the hackers at 24c3 say It's possible to spread viruses and malware with the Exploit and that's what their worried about. It's gonna suck when xbox live is complete trash full of cheats / viruses / ddos attacks.
