I was looking for a cheap 37" 1080p HDTV then i came across Finlux 37" 37FLH760 for £550 http://www.directtvs.co.uk/Finlux_37FLH760...760/version.asp

The spec look promising

Features

Resolution - 1920 x 1080 Full 1080p Resolution
Contrast Ratio - 15000:1 Dynamic Contrast
Built in Digital Freeview Tuner
Picture In Picture
SRS Trusurround Sound
DVB-T Digital Tuner
Free Wall Mount Bracket

Connections

2 x HDMI
2 x SCART
1 x Composite
1 x Component video
1 x PC Input
1 x Headphone Jack

But i still have a few questions to anyone who owns this TV.
1. What HDMI has it got on eg 1.3
2. Can it support 1080p over component
3. What is the lifetime of the TV eg 60,000Hr
4. Is it reliable

Finlux went bust some years ago. They used to be superb and reliable.
This TV will be made elsewhere (possibly by Vestel). It is purely using the Finlux badge. Looks surprisingly like the LG in the picture but you need to check who actually makes it.
Companies that are not too well know often buy the rights to use the badge of a well known manufacturer who has ceased trading.
From their site
"Since 2006 owned by Zorlu Group."
The original Finlux went under way before 2006 so has had more than 1 owner since.
These are not the same firm as the original Finlux but may well be still a good TV. It is very cheap for a 1080P 37"
