It doesn't matter when you BUY the system, it matters when that system was MADE. I bought mine two months ago and it's made in mid 2006. The DVD-drive is messed up and I'll be sending it in for warranty soon. You really can't spell IGNorant without IGN.

Tabloid journalism at it's best. IGN needs to try writing usefull, unbiased, reviews about video games and stop wasting everyones time with this guessing the future cr@p articles.

I agree with most of it. I can say that gears of war 2 wont be announced, but surely epic will be thinking about starting the developement soon, they are still reaping the rewards from gears 1 on pc. I think they will however release some new maps this year.

I agree ms will continue to try and bring in the family games, this is probably ms's biggest disadvantage to consumer, but people who buy 360's are for serious gaming in my opinion. MS are looking for family based games to compete with the successes of the wii, the wii is fun, but is many respects aimed at kids and family.

Blu-ray is always going to be in the news with the 360, but truthfully i think this wont happen. Unless 360 users are asking for it in really high demand, it all depends on how the market goes for hd vs blu-ray.

The games coming out who knows... I think there will be big titles coming out just most of them under our noses. (personally i'm looking forward to the new star wars force unleashed, and a possible graw 3)

I hate that they even call stuff like that "predictions", especially the ones where they predict something won't happen.

But seriously, Its funny how some news posts can apperently offend ppl. So what, they made a prediction. These are actually pretty much right on the nose if you ask me.

Not sure about the RROD being fixed, but theres a good reason why I would not have faith in that one.

I always thought Gears of War 2 would never be created for this current generation of Xbox. In fact, I hope it isn't because if it is, it will most likely suck.

I'm more sad than offended. More and more sites are going after something people want to discuss about rather than (f)actual news. Maybe they all want to get on the front page of X-S, I don't know, they should at least spend more time on collecting their data and maybe proof-read it before slapping it on the interwebs.

Also, stating the obvious is really great, like about the Blu-Ray drive not coming to Xbox 360. They could've might as well linked to the statement from Microsoft where they say they won't be making one for the Xbox 360.

Says it all. PS3 ftw and Xbox 360 doesn't have Cell, so it must fail (They already said no Blu-Ray on Xbox 360, so I don't need to point that out )

My prediction, sadly, Gta4 will be a huge let down. I just dont think they can do what san andreas did for me. expecially with no planes!
