try doing a full erase on the cdrw before burning the image. you can burn music cds onto the cdrw and it should work in your xbox if your box likes that specific brand of media. you may want to burn a music cd on a cdrw to see if it will play, that will tell you if you box likes that particular media or not.

Alright i don't understand do you just keep burning EVO over and over again on different media untill you find the one that works
I currently have a Maxell CD-RW and burned it onto it and it didn't work
Is there a test to see if the Mod chip (messiah-x) is even working?
Heard you can't get CDR's to work so you can't play burned Music cds then right? or am i completly out to lunch
This is how ur suppose to burn the disk using nero. The first thing to do is to create a sperate folder, in that folder u would place the extracted version of evo or boxplorer or both. U would then use Xiso or a like program to create an image of that folder. Then in nero u will go to file-burn image and choose that image. The settings for the burn should be finalise disk and disk at once. The disk should boot up! hope that helps

The bin file is the bios image. You will want EvolutionX_beta_1.8.2594.rar or evolutionxv1.8.458.rar anything that is evolutionxv2.x will be a bios image. I'm having trouble with evox freezing while its loading. Someone said it might be a bad image so I am going to try it again tommorow.

What do I use to extract the bin files... like the Evox 2.5? Or should I just load up Nero and select the bin and burn?
Thats a Bios image, you dont burn it to CD!
So let me get this straight, anything Evox 2.x and above there is only one file to deal with?--- the .bin file. And this is the file to flash the mod with? Where does the other file(s) come from -- ie. evox.ini? The reason I ask is b/c someone emailed (at my request) me a copy of Evox 2.5 in a zip file and there was only one file --- the .bin.
(Actually there was a "256" compressed file that I had to make 1 Mb with a batch file called "make1Mb"... does this sound like a legit one floating around?)
