not really sure where i should stick this post so i am putting it in here.

i have a old Yamaha DSP A5 amp and a Joytech HDMI switch could i rip opene the small joytech box and stick it inside the old amp so it goes into standby and poweres on when ever i switch on the amp

you are going to have to power the swich of the amp after the powersurply so that you can get the power save to work and that seems like way to much work coz you need to get out the old volt meater and track all the voltages out of the amps power surply good luck if you ask me its not worth it just pay the 20 or so bucks a year on your hydro and leave the switch on coz if you mess up your amp its going to cost you way more than the cost of the hydro to replace the amp

the amp is now worthless, seen these go on ebay for £40 now. 7./8 years back they cost £300.
im not too worried about dammaging either just need to do somat too keep me busy over the past few weekends
