Shipments of free Halo 3 experience delays
Posted by XanTium | January 26 18:07 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From xbox360fanboy.com:
[QUOTE]
Last November, Microsoft ran an offer where all new Xbox 360 owners could grab a free copy of Halo 3 for upgrading to Xbox Live gold and registering the new console's serial number. Well, Microsoft was supposed to get the free copies of Halo 3 to their new 360 owners by January 18th, but have hit a bit of a snag.

According to a few fanboy tipsters, all the Halo 3 shipments have been delayed, but Microsoft promises to get those who completed the offer a copy of the game within' three weeks.

Does this delay apply to Australian residents as well? I'm curious because i applied for the offer a few days ago when i heard about the delay just to see what would happen, and I was told my registration was successful and was thanked for participating in the offer. When are the Australian copies expected to arrive does anyone know?

And also when everyone initially signed up for it, did you get any confirmation email saying that you had registered, or was the only feedback you got the same 'Your registration was successful, thank you for participating' message that I got?

Thanks in advance guys, just trying to get an idea of what my chances are of actually getting a copy. Cheers.
