I just got it in the mail today, are some serious slowdowns (which unreal3 title doesn't) and other hickups but other then that it plays pretty nice.

Love MGS for using their endless supply of monies to bring us some jrpgs.

oh this sucks my lost odyssey got DREs...right on the very first battle...how could this be?

Get used to it. My drive gives me DRE's every day. disc 2 was a special pain. So far every rpg for me has been DRE hell. Oblivion, Enchanted arms (had to retrace 2 hours several times) Blue dragon and now LO. Sucks that MS made the OS so sensitive for read errors, and choose such crappy dvddrives to boot

must be your drive, i have never experienced a DRE with oblivion, Enchanted arms or Blue Dragon.

about half way through disc 2 of lost odyssey and no issues whatsoever, i am about 12 hours in spread over 3, 4 hour sessions and not even any crashes, i would say this game is extremely stable.

i havnt played lost odyssey yet (its on order-should be here soon!) but i have had major disk read error problems with my jap-spec NFS pro street (sometimes every half hour) and also assassins creed.

is it a pretty common problem is it? i thought it was just me.

im on disk 3, so's the missis and we aint had any problem with the game at all. Its a great game though.
