For the shortened version of this post skip to the last paragraph.
My Xbox 360 Premium that I purchased 1 week after 360 launch suffered RROD about 4 months ago(1 MONTH AFTER I MODDED IT...DOH!) and I fixed it with lawdawg's method. It worked for 3 weeks and died again. I did RBJTech's method last week and have been messing with the torque on the gpu bolts but no luck. I also tried the 12 penny fix....

The end result is..I need a new 360. And dont worry this isnt a "did they fix the RROD problem yet?" question. For some reason I know everything there is to know about these damn things other than...

Whats the difference between the Arcade(New Core?),Pro(New Premium?),Halo 3(Green Pro?),Elite(Overpriced Pro w/ Audio/Video cables?)...consoles. Im ditching the premium so I will have a hard drive, headset, and two controllers... should I just buy the Arcade console and save myself $70?

There's a pretty good summary on Wikipedia here!

I'd go with the Arcade if you already have most of the peripherals.
