The original font isn't very nice but I really wish they'd kept blue instead of green as the Xbox colour scheme. Blue looks much better IMO but then again there's money to be made in swapping out ROL LEDs for people biggrin.gif.

I wonder how much one of those orange boxes would be worth to a hardcore collector.

well, blue was kind of the PS2's color and it was Sega's Color before that (sonic and all)

Nintendo's color was red up to the n64 and then it was purple.

green really hadn't been used yet and I think MS used green well.

now this generation both nintendo and sony use blue as their color which means MS's green is even more distinct.

on another note
the article states that the "That is why the "Xbox Live is Five" anniversary wireless controllers were orange."

I don't think so... Xbox Live's "color" has ALWAYS been Orange, the controllers were orange because XBL is orange, it was when it launched and it still is today.

Anyone else here reading this an original LIVE beta tester?? I still have my LE orange memory card unit as well as the t-shirt and LIVE beta games that expired playability the day LIVE went 'live'. Reckon how much that gear's worth?

blue is an overall much more appealing color than green but i am glad that they went with green as it made the xbox more distinct and unique. and yes, an orange original xbox will continue to appreciate in value for years to come...
