MS GDC08 Keynote Recorded, GoW2 Trailer, XNA CC Game Launcher
Posted by XanTium | February 20 16:06 EST | News Category: Xbox360

In our previous news post I already posted all highlights and official press releases from Microsoft's GDC08 keynote and now you can download the entire keynote (audio) from majornelson's blog (mp3, 01:12:01, 32.9 MB).

The new trailer for Gears of War 2 is now available on Xbox LIVE (only in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK and US for now). If it's not available in your country yet, you can watch it below in low res:

Also added to Xbox LIVE (everywhere except Australia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan) is the 'XNA Creators Club Game Launcher':

Trial games for a limited amount of time. Why...The developer should be able to choose if they want their game fully unlocked and free for life. I do not understand my Microsoft can possibly charge for them.

Good luck even trying to download them. WHen I open the XNA Game Launcher, it says I have no account and goes back to the dashboard.

The games are terrible and you downloaded the wrong launcher. The launcher you downloaded is for playing your own created games (which you cannot do without a membership to XNA).

The car game is a complete rip-off of a game that has been on the internet free for years. Same exact concept, except this one has a car instead of whatever the other one had.

I hate these "teaser" trailers with all the pre-rendered crap (reminds me of Sony). Let's just see gameplay please.

I hope/bet that in GOW2 there will be a "chainsaw duo" where you battle like in the trailer, and the winner has the upside down chainsaw move against the loser for the ultimate victory!

Hey,

I agree. Why bother? Hype or no hype, it's still just crap.

Maybe I'm wrong about this...

But I have a feeling MS got on EPIC's ass to push a sequel out by november, only because they know that consumers are not happy with the 360's hardware problems - which is bad for bussiness.

So MS is rushing out a sequel to one of the greatist games ever made in hopes it will keep the 360 sales soring. Kinda like when they rushed out a sequel to one of the greatist consoles ever made. (Xbox1: YAY! > 360: WTF?!)

I fear that GoW2 is gonna be a HUGE let down. Infact, I'd bank on it. sleep.gif
