Hello,

I'm currently trying to get XDK working on my XBox using this tut: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/debug-xdk.php

I have a v1.0 XBox I'm trying to do it on.

I'm using PBL 1.3 with the 5558_debug BFM.

I'm using the XDKRecovery5933External.

When I start the default.xbe this is the screen that comes up and then it just freezes here:

QUOTE
Phoenix Bios Loader v1.3
Official Forums: http://forums.maxconsole.com

Setting led: oogg
Loading Rom: \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\xboxrom.bin
Allocate2bl mem
Parsing RC4 key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Trust that I have a good RC4 key. I believe it might be against rules to post it)
Decrypting 2bl
Copying 2bl
Detecting xbox version: 00000001
Xbox is version 1.0
Parsing EEPROM 1.0 key: xxxxxxxxxx (Again, I have a good eeprom key as well)
Patching EEPROM key
xxxxxxxxxx

Patching param string
Calculating 2bl entry point
Calling 2bl

Then it will just hang there. This is exactly what it does if I don't copy any of the XDK files over too, so I'm almost positive that the problem lies with how I've FTPd the XDK files over. According to the tutorial it says to copy everything from \C to the C drive and \E to the E drive. Unfortunatley, it doesn't look like the newer XDK is set up that way because there is no "C" and "E" folders.

I copied the DEVKIT folder to the E drive, as well as the TDATA folder.
I copied everything inside of "XDASH" into the C root directory.
I also copied the "XDASHDATA" and the "XODASH" folders to the C drive.
I didn't know where to put "XBOX" or "XDKSAMPLES" so I put them on both the C and the E drive.

Thanks ahead of time for any help you can offer. I'm almost there, I just can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong now.

Now I'm not convinced at all that it is my install of XDK that is the problem. While most of the bios that I've tried lead to the screen above, both of the bios included in "PBL1.4.1 by gueux" go to a weird screen that looks kind of like a mutated xboxdash (green colors), but just hangs there. Perhaps I need a specific BIOS that I have yet to find?

Nevermind....

I got it working somehow after trial and error. Needed the Complex Dashboard Retail 4627. That took care of it.
