XBLA size limit no longer a problem for SF2HD
Posted by XanTium | March 13 16:11 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From joystiq.com:
[QUOTE]
In a blog post today, Producer Ray Jiminez officially confirmed "the filesize will not be an issue" because of some "great help from the guys at Microsoft." It's not quite clear whether the size limit was waived or whether Microsoft just helped squeeze those files in there, but regardless, Jiminez promises the gameplay experience will be identical in both the Xbox and PS3 versions of the game.

Hmmm. . . I doubt it's even more optimized compression. I think they just waived the size limit, i'd be surprised if that game is 50mb.

I hope they didn't add some kind of slight compression to the sprites or something. Someone will find it andblow it way out of proportion.

Capcom had the size restrictions waived for Bionic Commando and SF2 HD. Would be nice if they waived it for all the devs.

Tard pack should've never happened.

The limit was raised from 50 MB to 150 MB when the 512 MB memory cards were released.

We all know how they're getting it to fit for the Xbox 360 file limit.

SF2HD for the 360 will include Ken and Ryu and all other characters will be 150 point "add-ons."

Sounds like exactly the kind of solution Microsoft would propose.

Unfortunately, it'll still play like a bag of shit with the crappy D-pad on the 360 pad.
MS really need to sort that shit out, or ideally have a 3rd party release a snes-style pad. That rocked for SF2 back in the day! ;-)

Edit : typo!
