Xecuter 360 RROD Repair Kit Ready and Shipping
Posted by XanTium | March 17 15:27 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From team-xecuter.com:
[QUOTE]
After a LOT more testing to ensure the optimum materials used in the 360 RROD Repair Kit we are now ready to start making the kits up and to start shipping.

There will be 2 kits available:
* 1 Xbox 360 Bulk Kit: Includes Repair Materials for 1 Xbox 360, 1 x T10 Screwdriver & 1 x T8 Screwdriver)
* 10 Xbox 360's Kit: Includes Repair Materials for 10 Xbox 360's (This kit is assumed for repair "professionals" who would already have tools in hand)

All machines tested so far are still working however it is impossible to say how long the fix can work for due to the fact we'd never get it to market if we had to test for a year But the fix is pretty solid and our testers are very happy (and surprised) by the results of such a simple fix.

The cost is very cheap and we will be notifying all resellers of the confirmed RRP when they receive stocks in the next week or so. As you can see we have made this kit affordable to everyone so regardless of how long the fix works for it makes sense for everyone to give it a try !

Our current estimates are:
1 Single Xbox 360 Kit $9.95 each
10 Single Xbox 360 Kits $8.95 each
50 Single Xbox 360 Kits $7.95 each
100 Single Xbox 360 Kits $6.95 each
1000 Single Xbox 360 Kits $4.95 each

(Bulk Kits are for 10 Xbox 360's - Includes repair materials only - no screwdrivers, printed instructions or retail packaging)
*Edit*: Made a dumb mistake on these price estimates yesterday - sorry
1 Bulk Xbox 360 Kit $18.95 each (10 Xbox 360's)
10 Bulk Xbox 360 Kit $16.95 each (100 Xbox 360's)
50 Bulk Xbox 360 Kit $15.95 each (500 Xbox 360's)
100 Single Xbox 360 Kits $14.95 each (1,000 Xbox 360's)
1000 Single Xbox 360 Kits $13.95 each (10,000 Xbox 360's)

Still no details about what it actually is? How do they think this is helping them?

wooohoo cant wait to get it =)

edit: well if they said what it was, no one would buy it, and just make it themselves.

They are trying to make some money.

im curious now. what exactly is in this kit? i read, but they dont quite say whats in it. hmmm..

as the above poster said, its gonna be tough to sell a product where the buyer cant really see what they are buying. and i remember a post where team xecuter said it wasnt going to be a screw and washer set. so im looking forward to seeing what this is.

I would wager its just the two torx bit screw drivers and some thin sheets of copper plate to stick under your gpu or cpu to build more pressure on the die's... just my 2 cents.

this is from the site and they say its not just crews and washers... lets see...

"360 ROD Repair Kit *Update*
Feb 14, 2008 - 8:07 AM - by Xecuter
Some points need addressing.

1. This is not any kind of X-Clamp or washers or screws or thermal paste or anything like that. It's not rocket science and didn't take months of development - more like 10 minutes

2. This is not sold as a permanent fix. You want that then get a new Xbox. All I know is that its simple, easy to do with little fuss and works on the boxes I've tested so far. It's impossible to say how long it will last for - only people actually giving it a try will be able to answer that.

3. Yes you could probably make this kit yourself. All I have done is made the kit to an exact spec in an easy to use and cheap package.

4. Answer to a point made on xbox-scene

Quote:
the thing that strikes me funny about that whole thing is, "got my FIRST ROD at Christmas" followed immediately by "it's been tested on 18 now" - that's a pretty big leap in ROD consoles available to a guy in less than 2 months
We're Xecuter bro, we're not sitting in our kitchen with a homebrew soldering iron and a ratchet set lol - as soon as I decided I wanted to test ROD machines I just put a few words out and they arrived daily. Think about it

I'll get these shipped out asap then you can try for yourselves.""

team xecuter already confirmed on their site that "This is not any kind of X-Clamp or washers or screws or thermal paste or anything like that.".

Questions , and ignorant statements answered.

EDIT: Damn, beat me to it

Judging by Xecuter's past line of products; This repair kit is probably going to work. However; it isn't going to be THE end all fix all RRODs solution (they never claimed it was anyways).

It's going to work... it's just a question of how effective it's going to be.

It would be lame if they are not showing pics because they might be concerned that nobody would buy it. Now the first person to buy it should post pics. dry.gif

Well I'll be in line to get one of those regardless of what exactly it's made of. I'll be buying it because I'm confident that it'll work and for 10 bucks, it saves me the pain to fuss around in my car having to get all the stuff I need...

Besides never an Xecuter product had ever let me down, so I'll surely give it a try...

The kit includes 2 screw-drivers and the towel of death......

In all seriousness, Xecutor has a lot of nerve lying to the community by selling false hope to idiots. tongue.gif
