I know I am very late coming to the Video game party because this is my very first games system ever(and yes I am well over the drink age) So I got myself a great deal on the Xbox 360 (which is still coming in the mail) So I have plenty of questions.

My big question is can i use my Linksys Power Over Ethernet Adapter Kit(because i have access to a few of them, Free) to connect my xbox 360 to xbox live? or do i have to buy that wireless adapter from microsoft?
Without spending another $100 to Microsoft

If so what is the equiement i need? and how do i do it?

Yes it'll work fine.

When you're using the ethernet over power adapters, it effectively creates a 'virtual' ethernet cable, so when you're using those, as far as the 360 is concerned it will be connected to the remote end (your router, switch or whatever) via ethernet. It'll be fine.

I'm assuming you meant the latter (they're called powerline adaptors), and as said before they'll work fine!

What you mentioned is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_over_Ethernet
