Xbox LIVE Scheduled Maintenance on Monday
Posted by XanTium | April 17 21:34 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From majornelson.com (FYI: MS owned blog):
[QUOTE]
On Monday April 21st from 0200-1000 PT Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, the 'My Xbox' section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won't be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available.
Find out what time the maintenance will begin in your time zone

This is for maintenance, there are no new features on your that will appear on your Xbox 360 console or Xbox.com when the service comes back online. This is server maintenance only

oh no, i can't believe it, i wanna refund of time lost, blah, blah, blah...and yes i am only kidding, but we have heard this before here when "scheduled maintenance" events occur.

i am for anything that keeps XBL as amazing as it is, so "maintenance" it up that morning...

the only thing that i wonder is if it will truly last only 8 hours...

I thought we only heard that when it WASN'T scheduled maintenance. Coincidentally, the MGS4 beta is supposed to start on the 21st. Perhaps their servers will be down while they fire up their non-360s tongue.gif

I'm not saying I should get a refund, but these are starting to become more frequent and are starting to pi$$ me off. I'm in the UK which means I wont be able to play till 6pm that day- and this is the second routine maintenance in a month, isn't it??

They are obviously preparing for something, maybe GTA IV? Or maybe just getting things ready for the Spring Update.

11 hours of maintenance in a month is too much. Hopefully this maintenance will prevent any downtime when GTA IV comes out...if not, the proverbial feces will hit the fan. There will be some pissed off fanboys if we have to go through all this downtime and we're still not able to play GTA IV online when it comes out on the 29th.

when halo 3 came out, it sold so many copies, and so many people joined live to play it, that live went down a lot during the holidays and a class action suit was waged. if the predictions that gta will outsell halo are even close, they have to be nervous. hopefully they are really trying to avoid another problem.

what would you rather bitch about, a few hours of maintenance, or a month of hardly being able to play online?
