No wonder players kept disappearing through my game searches, seriously MS we pay for this I think you should consider dropping your price for Gold it's certainly not living up to the expectations I had for it.

wow paranoid much?

Its a simple matter of having o upgrade the servers as theres a pretty big release next week or perhaps you would like to see what happened at xmas happen again?

A sudden increase in traffic volume is what fukd the live service then because no one was ready for it this time they are making sure to be ready for all the people buying 360's jus to play gtaiv on line.

If in doubt dont mod your 360, cos no one cares if you get banned you know the risk and no one put a gun to your head.

I'm having issues, they are:

When i boot up to dash it says i'm logged in with the notification, but it asks me if i want to login as the marketplace and freinds/messages tab isn't there

I boot up COD4 and it says i'm logged in again and i can see friends/messages when i hit the guide button.

Try to play a match an COD tells me to have an active network.

Getting logged out randomly.

Just acting finicky as a whole, hard to explain

Even though they say that maintenance is completed, it's probably best to just stay off Live until tomorrow. That's what I'm planning to do anyway. Now's the time to finish up all those SP campaigns smile.gif

I'm getting real sick of this...

Either give us dedicated servers, or stop charging us to use our own bandwidth!

I can't help but feel that every time Live is down it's because they're updating the marketplace with more junk I'll never buy. Is there even one 'Gold-only' aspect of Live that gets updated? AFAIK all we get is unlocked multiplayer, and can download stuff a week before silver users.

This forum should be called xbox-whine because really, that's what most of you seem to do in here. "Wahhhh Live isn't properly working for me right now!", go cry me a river.

The fact is Live is a far better service than on any of the next gen consoles. Don't even go "but multiplayer is free on PC", because I don't have to worry about viruses, real hacking, messing around with config files and a whole slew of other crap that I had to do just to get me my Quake on. I'm not a newb to gaming, console or PC but I've definitely given up on PC Gaming in favor of console and IMHO Live & 360 is the way to go. Sure I'd love to have keyboard and mouse, I'm sure it would improve my crappy Halo stats but I'm done with spending hours getting all kinds of drivers and crap just to get a game working.

I do agree that I'd love to see some dedicated servers provided by Microsoft though. But even with the problems Live has had, it still is hands down better than the competition, paid or unpaid.

I agree with vengeancegoon, Xbox Live! take the time to maintain servers for your benefit in 2 SCHEDULED bi-yearly updates. You people who are whinging about it should A: read the Terms Of Service on Xbox Live (clearly states it WILL happen) or B: pissoff and play on PSN.

Really, is 13pence/26cents per day really worth bitching about, taking MS to court over money that you waste in 1 day by not turning the hot water tap off or leaving your PC on over night, I think not.

Get a grip and get a life. If you don't like it, take a long walk off a short pier.

I don't even play on live, so I'm not whining, I don't care.

BUT, it doesn't matter if its the 'best service' or a 'free service' or any of that, if it is a service people use, it should be available.

Do you think googles servers would ever go down? no because they maintain a certain level of professionalism.

Having servers go down is what unprofessional indie companies do and can be forgiven for. Not Microsoft.
