i have no idea what i can do to it.
i dont want to be banned from live.
i would like to play original xbox backups. (not on live, or if possible, on live)
there isnt a "modchip" for it yet is there, theres only a dvd firmware hack to allow you to play backups and homebrew?
what media can it play (is there xbmc for it yet?)

im a complete noob when it comes to 360, but im a highly developed xbox 1 modder.

plz confirm my theories on it or prove me wrong
also would like to know if i can do what i asked
it has a ms-25dvd drive (what can that do?)

thanks in advance from a noob

You can flash your firmware on your drive that will allow you to play backups on DVD+DL disks only.

NO HOMEBREW! That means no XBMC. Maybe this will be possible in a few years but not right now.

If you don't want to be banned from Live it would be best to not mod your console. However you are somewhat safe if you only use retail games on Live and backups while off line.

you should be safe if you do it that way. its against the LIVE TOS to play backups online anyway.

no you cannot put more than one game on a disc. the discs have to be as close as you can get to a 1:1 copy. meaning ALL games (both 360 and original) have to be on Dual Layer disks, burnt with all security sectors. so those old single layer backups will not work. there is an old firmware available to allow you to use those disks, but you then run a very high risk of getting banned (even if you use the backups offline. it hasnt been confirmed or denied if the xbox can store information about backups while your offline, and those old firmwares can actually rarely report an original game as a backup)

As scuba stated you SHOULD be safe... but no guarantees.
