XCM 360 Core Cooler v2
Posted by XanTium | May 7 11:36 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Team Xtender announced a new version of their 'XCM 360 Core Cooler':
[QUOTE]
XCM 360 core cooler version 2 can be used on all xbox 360 consoles (included the newest built in heat sink console)
XCM 360 Core Cooler version 2

the XCM core cooler v.2 also can be used with XCM High Speed air cooler (more efficiency and powerful) or independently, unlike another brand of external fan, external Xbox 360 fan can only cool the temperature of the Xbox 360's outer surface but does not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU; therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating. XCM 360 core cooler directly cools down the temperature from the core (CPU and GPU) of 360 console.

I had the first one, Ironically my console RRoD'ed probably about an hour after I had this in.

Don't know if it had anything to do with it, yet I haven't used it again since.

The console was only about 3 months old, but since I had already took it apart for fan mods / case painting, no warranty.

Sry to hear bout that man. I was able to fix mine using the posts here :Official X-ClampRepair Thread

Used Lawdawgs method, and the list of parts for Home Depot. Fixed it in 2 hours total, only cost like $5 in parts. Been working nonstop for the past 4 months no problem. Hope this helps

As far as the case goes, pretty cool. Would also like to hear if anyone else bought it. Is it pretty Durable? I move mine around to friends houses been thinking about getting a new case but am worried that the replacement ones might be flimsy.

[sarcasm] Thanks [/sarcasm] I never knew about the x-clamp replacement, lemme get right to that.

Actually not to be a dick, I have already done this and it worked for about 3 mins.

i have one and it only cools my console by about 2 degree's ,adding a chipset fan 40mm on the big heatsink is a good idea, myself i've got a orignal core cooler mounted ontop of my case above the 3rd heatsink, i havent even powered it up yet and my temps are another 2 degree's lower , when i get get round to powering my chipset fan and core cooler i'll do a guide, i'm not sure about the new core cooler i might take it out coz i think my orignal core cooler would do so much more! can anyone tell me the spec of the new v2 core cooler fans, they are smaller , i've tried emailing xcm but they havent replyed
