Xbox 360 Inside Microsoft's Surface?
Posted by XanTium | May 9 00:06 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From gizmodo.com:
[QUOTE]
Stefano from onthetabletop attended CHI 2008, where several members of the Microsoft Surface team was there tossing around ideas. One of the more interesting ideas was shoving an Xbox 360 inside. Why would you do this? To allow the 360 to become an additional control input mechanism, possibly making RTS games SO MUCH EASIER TO PLAY. Will it happen? Who knows.

Microsoft's future lies in gaming, maybe we'll see some surface integration on the next box? this will totally kill the Wii and future Sony/Nintendo Consoles.

now that does sound good.

i really can't see how many really useful ways that the MS surface technology and the 360 or MS gaming could be combined, novel ways yes, but practical...not really

Sad but true..
They'll have to make it easy to replace the 360 in some way

I'm surprised MS hasn't designed their own PC by now. They should build it similar to an Xbox, but have the appropriate hardware to make it an ideal Vista platform, with support for "Games for Windows" and operate like a normal PC for the most part. They could pimp it just like the consoles and make a killing.
