Me and my friend each bought one he has a launch 60gb ps3 and I just got a 40gb ps3. So we both wanted to upgrade harddrives and got the HDXT from here:
http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catalog...der-p-2593.html

Turns out that my 40gb ps3 is totally different the way the hard drive is inserted into the system so the hdxt will not work at all with my system but my friends older 60gb ps3 it will go in no problem.

Just a heads up for anyone that didn't know because I sure got suckered even though I researched it a bit.
