I opened my xbox today to replace the Talismoon fans with the stock ones and I forgot to put the fan shroud back on. Is it really necessary or should I not worry about it? I'm pretty sure it is though, because it helps cool. Let me know. I wont turn it on until I hear back.

Thanks,
Daniel

yes it is. air will always take the easiest route, and without the fan shroud the air would go straight from the intake vents to the fans, completly missing the heatsinks
