I hope it's quieter... Thats my only gripe with the 360. I still have the first release version, so I don't know if the Falcons are quieter. Man, did I just jinx myself by saying I still have a working first release?

I don't think they'll be shipping that quickly afterwards. I had one of the first Elite consoles and they were released in May I believe, right? But the system was manufactured on the last few days of March.

I thought we all agreed to call it a 'Lite-On' drive.

For those who don't know, it says Phillips & Lite-On on the drive, but no BenQ reference.

i agree with chancer. these new consoles are going to be harder to modify. there all going to ship with th Lite-On drive.

not only that, but if you remember, the V2 and V3 have less 5V points on the motherboard, and will actually 3ROD if you try to 7V the fans (except for some 5V points found by me and grim). its quite possible they could do something similar with the new revision motherboard 'Jasper'. for instance, as the GPU will now run cooler, its quite possible that they could actually monitor the fans voltage and display a 3/2ROD if the fans are running at 12V, and even just possibly have the fans highest availabl voltage at 11.9V or something similar. theres quite a few things they could do, it all depends on what they have changed on the motherboard.

they could even store the keyvault in another location making the motherboard much harder to touch anything.

theres alot of possibilities. but ill be happy if the 203V PSU's will work with it as we then will have alot of power to add extra fans/leds/mechanical bulls...
