Moore: Leaving Microsoft 'broke my heart'
Posted by XanTium | May 20 00:10 EST | News Category: Xbox_Xbox360

From gamesindustry.biz:
[QUOTE]
EA Sports president Peter Moore has spoken of his pain at quitting his former role as Xbox boss, revealing: "It broke my heart leaving Microsoft."

"I thoroughly enjoyed working at Microsoft, [but] there was a real yearning for getting back to what we as Brits living in America call home, which is the San Francisco Bay area," he said.
"And you get to the point in your life where you say, do I live where I work, or do I work where I live? For me, I would rather live in the Bay area - nothing against Seattle - and there's only really one job I would have taken to leave Xbox and that's president of EA Sports."

Presiding over his new multiformat empire, Moore must now embrace all systems.
"My goal is to grow EA Sports, and I need the PS3 to continue to gain momentum, I've got to readjust my brand on Nintendo Wii, I've got to look at what we do on PC," he offered.

Did he not know that Seattle also has a gay community in Queen Anne?

Come on, he moved all the way down to San Francisco for the money, why not just talk about the weather if you are going to say something worthless.

It does sound a bit gay that it "broke his heart". At least he will have a nice time at the rainbow party jester.gif. I heard they have plenty of fruit cake there?

I'd move to Seattle before San Francisco... So-Cal blows...

President of EA Sports has to be one of the easiest jobs in the gaming world...

just keep buying exclusive licenses and let the developers do whatever they want as long as there is something you can ship once a year. sleeping.gif

Off topic, but why all the CA bashing? And why the gay bashing? SF has one of the most diverse cultures in one single city in the entire world. If you'd rather live in a shallow gene pool, more power to ya. Also, the gay culture is not a big deal. What are we in, the 17th century? do you also suppress women's rights where you live? It's only a big deal if you actually TRY to notice it, which means you are cleaning your closet right now. Otherwise, it's unnoticeable. I work with plenty of gay, straight, and every color and nationality you can think of and it's great! As a minority myself, it's nice to have such diversity and be in a place where there are more non-whites than whites. Don't even get me started...

On topic: who cares.

someone's going to be hitting the gay disco clubs scene and obviously we will start seeing the gay disco influence in the next remakes of all EA sports games.
