does the xbox 360 hard drive (samsung HM020GI) should have any jumpers closed? i mean master/slave/cable select ones ??
cause i bought xbox 360 with broken hard drive, it was giving E68 error code, i opened hdd case and noticed that there is no jumper on any pin, so i turned it off and closed last two pins (on the right) and U know what? my hard drive was alive again. Found some saves and mp3s on it and it's still working, just with that little jumper on. smile.gif anybody with similar situation?

PS
sorry for my english but i'm from Poland smile.gif

Im kinda confused from this.

The MS/SL/CS pins are only used on PATA ide devices because they have more then 1 device per line, SATA on the other hand is identified by connection (only one device connects per line) there must be something else wrong with the xbox360 and you just struck it lucky bigtime
